Cadrio is developed by KAVALE spol. s r. o., an engineering company based in the Czech Republic.
The software started as a tool for our own workshop. Our staff needed to open technical drawings on phones and tablets out on the floor, and nothing available did the job properly — the viewers we tried either could not read STEP files, required an account and an upload, or buried the drawing under adverts. So we built what we needed ourselves.
It turned out that the problem was not ours alone, and Cadrio grew into a product in its own right.
That origin shapes how it works. Cadrio is built by people who use it in production, not by a software house guessing at the workflow. It does one job — showing a drawing quickly and legibly, with the measurements you actually need — and it does not ask for an account, a connection or your data along the way.
The company has been in engineering since 1993.
